New Zealand Youth Choir Farewell Concerts

For nearly a year the New Zealand Youth Choir with Music Director, David Squire, Deputy MD, Dean Sky-Lucas and Vocal Consultant, Morag Atchison having been preparing repertoire for the choir’s 2016 European Landmark Tour beginning at the end of June.

The choir is performing music ranging from a 17th-century anthem by Peter Phillips, Shakespeare settings by Vaughan Williams through to contemporary New Zealand music by David Hamilton and a kapa haka waiata by Tuirina Wehi.

Concerts in Wellington and Auckland will give its supporters a chance to hear the choir’s performances in New Zealand ahead of audiences in Singapore, the Czech Republic, France and the UK. The box office from these concerts will contribute towards the tour’s fund-raising effort.
