Some things are...

Some things are worth waiting for, worth striving for, worth working toward, and worth celebrating when we achieve them.  Great plans take long range vision, they take having the end in mind, they take clear goals and objectives, they take milestones (a term that broken down literally means stones that mark the miles we walk in order to achieve our destination).  Great plans should be worthy of our time, treasure and talent, the attainment of which will leave the world a better place and give us a sense of achievement and purpose that the investment is not in vain but rather worthwhile and worth the commiserate sacrifice of said time, treasure and talent.  Whether it is the pursuit of a summit such as Everest or the pinnacle of sport like the Super Bowl, or the building of a stadium or bridge, or the undertaking of great charity or positive social change, the endeavor should be a call that moves our spirit, and provides purpose and a greater sense of wellbeing.   

Two years ago Absco Solutions began exploration of an Oregon office.  We have several clients and vendors who have asked us to expand our regional footprint to better serve their needs.  Eighteen months ago Tom Whitaker, an Oregon native and our former Honeywell regional sales representative, joined our team as Director of Sales.  Andrew Fletchall, another former Oregonian, joined our team nearly a year ago as our Director of Operations.  Some years previously he had located to Seattle for a Nordstrom corporate role and he was eager to return to Oregon. 

With key leadership in place, and both vendors and customers asking us to serve the market place, with much planning and preparation, after two years and two introductory paragraphs, I am pleased to announce the Grand Opening of the Absco Solutions Beaverton Office on February 9, 2017, which will be jointly lead by our Directors of Sales and Operations Tom Whitaker and Andrew Fletchall respectively.

The Next Generation of IP Door Intercoms

Talkaphone announces a cutting edge and fully integrated access control system with head-end IP video attendant station and two-way IP call station. The VOIP-200 Series Call Station interconnects with the AVM-1 IP video attendant station to provide a one-stop solution. With the ability to connect to up to 30 VOIP-200 Series IP Call Stations, the AVM-1 can monitor and regulate entry points through the call stations using video and voice communications.  The AVM-1 unit will receive basic factory pre-programing to integrate effortlessly with the VOIP-200 Series and includes technical support.

What's New


Sony IP Cam Backdoors - Daily Security Byte


Researchers found two hard-coded accounts and passwords in a large range of Sony’s IP-based security cameras. Attackers with access to these cameras’ web interface could use these credentials to take over the camera, even forcing access to a command line (CLI) interface. With botnets like Mirai actively looking for new victims, these sorts of IoT backdoors could but your IP-based cameras at risk. Micheal has been a part of the Absco Team for two and a half years and is a Journey Technician. His spirit at work is always positive and has a willingness to take on the unknown. He is open minded and continues to find ways to better his own performance.

On several occasions, customers comment on how fantastic Micheal's customer service and support is! Micheal always wants the customer to have a great experience and looks out for their best interests.  He recently put together a screenshot procedure for one of our customers to assist them with writing a portion of their security protocols.
