United Way's First Clearance Fair!

Are you looking for help filling out your clearances? Whether it be fingerprinting, criminal background checks, or a drivers history report, many programs require specific clearances. This can often take weeks to complete and can be a confusing and complicated process. On Friday July 19th, come to United Way of Southwestern PA and United Way staff will be there to help walk you through the process.

To learn more about the day, specific requirements and to sign up, click the link below! This is a great opportunity for any organization to get their staff and volunteers certified and ready to work with children and youth, so spread the word and take advantage of this great opportunity.

*Walk-ins are welcome but those who have a reservation will be served first. If you are planning on getting fingerprints done, there will be a pre-registration process as well as a $21.35 fee paid to the processing company. If you are an APOST Quality Campaign member, HYPE partner, or ONYX partner, APOST will cover the cost of clearances for up to two people from your organization.

You Decide

For many young people from low-income households, summer can be a time of losing ground to wealthier peers. Fortunately, summer can also be a time to make gains. Now, a new RAND report identifies programming that can help achieve that goal and be eligible for federal funding through the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
