Everything Afterschool 2019

Please join us for this unique opportunity to discover resources specifically for afterschool program providers! There will also be chances to win exciting raffle prizes and to network with fellow afterschool providers. The first 100 attendees to join us at The Union Project from 10:30am-12:30pm November 12th will receive a special APOST tote bag. This is a great event for providers to exhibit or attend for an informative and fun-filled morning!

AIU Day of Innovation
Join Intermediate Unit 1 and Inventionland Institute for a day of professional development focusing on project-based learning, team building, and innovation. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in STEAM activities that they can take back to their classroom, learn about innovation curriculum, and network with peers while exploring Inventionland’s award-winning immersive environments. Lunch will be provided by Inventionland Institute. This event is free, and Act 48 credits/credit hours will be issued.

Join APOST and our guest presenter, Stephan Davis, at the United Way this Friday, October 18th 10:30AM-12:30PM for the second workshop in his HR professional development workshop series. In this session, we’ll review recruitment and retention challenges specific to OST, learn how to create a positive work culture, and learn strategies to overcome some of the most challenges. You’ll leave this session with relevant tools and resources to aid in successful staff recruitment and retention.

The Forum for Youth Investment is now accepting workshop proposals for the Ready by 21 National Meeting being held in Louisville, Kentucky, on April 15-17, 2020 and we encourage you to submit your ideas! As you'll see in the Request for Proposals, the meeting workshops are designed to help participants dig deeper into the effective partnerships, practices and policies that states and communities are implementing to improve outcomes for young people.
