Registration for the APOST Virtual Back to Out-of-School Time Conference is Now Open!

The APOST Virtual Back to Out-of-School Time Conference is officially here! Beginning next week, we’ll be featuring over 12 professional development workshops over late August and early September all tailored to help youth practitioners working in Out-of-School Time prepare for the unique challenges in front of us as we continue to navigate the pandemic into this school year. Whether you’re operating virtually, in-person, or offering a hybrid model, we’ll have something for you to help you and your staff be ready for success as we come to grips with a new normal.

Check out all of our great offerings on this agenda we’ve created here!!! Make sure to check back periodically as one or two special offerings may still be added as we move close to the start of the school year.

We moved our conference up this year knowing this type of knowledge would be crucial for this Fall, but we unfortunately can’t account for everyone’s busy schedule at this time. If there’s a workshop you would like to attend but won’t have the time to because of other obligations, don’t worry! We’ll have recordings and resources for all of our offerings for at least a month after all the workshops have been concluded for you to review, share with staff, and more! If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Jaron Paul We look forward to seeing you all (virtually) there! 😊

Remaking Tomorrow

Remake Learning and KnowledgeWorks have collaborated on a new report examining pre-pandemic learning innovation ideas in light of COVID-19. The publication inspires our region’s stakeholders to shape a future of learning that is just, equitable and learner-centered. Download the report here.

Back to School Time

It is “Back-to-Out-of-School Time” and families are looking for quality, engaging programs (virtual and in-person) for their children on the Allegheny Child Care Finder. Providers can update their program information using the Allegheny County Provider Portal. You can also add available spots so that parents know your program is accepting new families.
