Program Finder: Listing Updates

It's time to submit your Winter and Spring program updates to the APOST Program Finder! All providers, new and existing, are encouraged to fill out our Program Submission Form so that we can include your programs and organization in the APOST Program Finder. Families from all over the region use this tool on our website to search for after school and summer programs in their area. Do not delay to get the word out about your fall programming by adding or updating your information in our database! Please contact Meredith Hoppe at with questions.

Sports Mindfulness
AuthentiKFit Sports Performance and Training brings you a sports mindfulness training used to teach youth about life skills through sports and mental techniques on December 18th, 9:30AM at United Way of SWPA. The training covers the 4 mental principles used to engage the mind and body of any youth through sports and meditation tactics. These tactics are used to inspire staff to work with youth on bettering their minds and building life skills in a positive way.

Self-compassion and self-care are necessary components of our overall well-being, and important skills to nurture in order to create more compassionate out-of-school time cultures. In Cultivating Seeds of Self-Compassion on December 13th, we’ll discuss social emotional learning, examine the science of self-compassion, engage in mindfulness practices, and discuss the importance of a supportive community for ourselves and others. Join APOST and our guest presenter, Tina Raspanti, for this intriguing and appropriate topic heading into the holiday season!

National Afterschool Association has posted an important update on policy related to social and emotional learning (SEL). The review looks at the funding status of key federal programs that support SEL through after-school and summer learning programs, as well as recent federal legislation.
