We are Volunteers.

Every year, youth in our community log over 1,000 volunteer hours at the Northwest Art Center. From civics class students, art club or honors society youth in our community, all are making a different at NWAC! Stealth Robotics kids volunteered for our Gadgeteers program. One student, Leanna Henion, did her Girl Scout Gold Project to help NWAC improve our volunteer program. Every year, the CHS High School Art Club puts on an amazingly creative show at the art center and many of them volunteer at the art center.

One student volunteer from years ago is now one of our teachers! It is a treasure to have past students like Christine Eaton come full circle to leadership in our organization.

Our amazing Board puts in countless hours behind the scenes making sure our events and our school run ssmoothly.

Our dedicated Teachers go above and beyond by putting in hours before and after classes that never get billed.

The new Studio on Main Paint your Own Pottery location is run primarily by volunteers 10am-5pm 6 days a week.

We provide creative joy for everyone of all ages and abilities

We provide scholarships to many in our community who would otherwise not be able to attend NWAC.  We offer private art lessons to Luis, who is autistic, and he loves learning real life skills that will help him with his dream to be a digital artist.
We have students who have attended NWAC since they were toddlers and now they consider the Art Center their second home.  We have students in wheel chairs who are able to come in and create thanks to scholarships and grants.

Celebrating Art

We are so grateful for all of the new opportunities provided to us through fundraising and hard work in classes.

We are eagerly looking forward to a new year of more opportunities for art education but we can use your help.

Help us provide art experiences for everyone

We need your help to fund scholarships so that we can provide art to students who are offsite or who have mobility issues.

Any amount that you can help with will help them.  All donations are tax deductible and will help pay for teachers, supplies, transportation costs and more.

Please consider providing a year end donation to help provide the gift of art and creativity.

Donate now.

With Sincere Gratitude and Thanks,

Melissa Lutzenhiser
