Message from President

By the grace of God, the new issue of newsletter is in your hand, which has made appreciable progress in serving the needs of our Jamaat. But there is always room for improvement, which can be achieved with your contribution and I would encourage you to continue providing your input.

Eid-ul-Azha is a few days away from us, which reminds us to be always ready for any kind of sacrifice for the sake of Allah. Being a member of the blessed and prophesied Jamaat of Hazrat Promised Messiah (as), we must be mindful to fulfill all our responsibilities expected of us and devote our time, life and resources for the service of Islam. Jazakumullah.

By the Grace of Almighty Allah, we have signed the contract with the Architect for the mosque project. The Architect is Ben Cortez with BCI Architects. Mr. Cortez designed our existing building as well. We have had a preliminary meeting with Ben Cortez where the floor plan was discussed. The survey has just been started as you might have noticed recently. I Humbly request all Jamat members to please pray that may Almighty Allah make this project a success. Ameen

Urgent Appeal from Humanity First USA

Respected Members of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat USA

Assalamo Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahe Wabarakatuhu
Syedna Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (ABA) explained the gravity of the current Syrian conflict in detail during his Friday sermon delivered on September 13, 2013.  Hazoore Aqdas (ABA) did not only mention the global consequences of war if it so happens, but also highlighted the plight and suffering faced by the populations currently due to the conflict.  Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (ABA) has advised members of the Jamaat to pray hard for the victims of the conflict and that may Allah bring a peaceful end to this issue.  At the same time, Hazoore Aqdas (ABA) has directed Humanity First to raise funds and provide assistance to the suffering refugee populations of Syria.
The Syrian civil war is one of the worst humanitarian crisis in the recent history and has claimed over 100,000 fatalities, 4.25 million internally displaced people and over 2 million people displaced abroad, mostly in Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, Iraq and Egypt.  More than half or 1 million of the refugees displaced abroad are children.
The refugees of Syrian civil war, mainly women and children, who are living in camps in several countries, are suffering from both physical and psychological medical conditions, and lack reliable access to medical care, food, safe drinking water, and shelters.  As winter approaches in the next few months, the situation will get even more critical.  With no access to essential supplies necessary to live through the harsh winter, many innocent lives will be lost and many more will suffer.
Humanity First, under the guidance of Beloved Huzoor (aba) is working with the UN and other NGOs on the ground and planning to provide thousands of 'Winterization kits' to Syrian refugee families living in refugee camps in Jordan.  These winterization kits will be prepared based on UNHCR guidelines and will include blankets, heaters, hygiene kits, children's survival kits, and other items essential for survival of Syrian refugees in harsh winters.
We appeal to all members of Jamaat for their continuous prayers and generous donations to enable Humanity First to respond to the Syrian refugee crisis and make a difference in the lives of the victims as wished by our beloved Hazoore Aqdas (ABA).
To donate directly to Humanity First, please visit the donation page on Humanity First USA website for instructions which is http://usa.humanityfirst.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=85 You can also deposit your donations with your Local Jamaat Finance Secretary through cash or check, who will issue a tax deductible receipt on Jamaat Receipt Book.  You can also give your Cash/Checks to your Local HF Ambassador/ Representative.
May Allah Taala bless all of us and give us the opportunity to serve His creation in the best possible way.  Ameen.
Wassalam

Are you self driven? You'll soon be!

It is quite obvious that oil prices alongside the metroplex traffic is rising, but the good news is that the industry is also finally rising up to meet the challenges. The Prius Hybrid did in fact bring out a slow but steady and strong tidal wave of new innovative hybrid technology placed into cars. More and more automotive teams are now placing newer technologies as trendsetters. The automobile industry is promising the availability of self-driven cars out to the masses. Shown below is the rv200 taxi edition from Nissan – a self driving cab designed for the city dwellers.

Mercedez-Benz has taken a look into the idea by partnering with Nokia looking into some heavy meta data navigation.

DFW has been identified as one of the busiest in traffic growth, with advanced traffic projects funded by the Federal Government. These new technologies and ideas could definitely shape the future of the metroplex. Imagine a row of self driven cars dropping off people at our new Masjid and driving off without needing Khuddam to do traffic control! - Aneeq Piracha, Science Editor
