Dear Capital Bikeshare Member,
We know that you rely on Capital Bikeshare to get around the DC metro area, and we’re grateful to have you as a member of our community. We wanted to update you on an issue that has left about 10% of stations temporarily out of service.
These stations became disconnected from the network yesterday, meaning users could not use the Capital Bikeshare app or kiosk to unlock a bike when visiting one of these stations. As soon as we became aware of this issue, we began working on a solution and have been in the process of fixing it. However, it is taking us longer than we expected to bring all of the stations back on-line and we apologize that these stations remain out of service. We will resolve this issue as soon as possible and will email another update to you and post on our Twitter and Facebook pages when done.
Please check the system map on the Capital Bikeshare website or app to see exactly which stations are offline, as it will be constantly updated as we continue this fix. In the meantime, we hope that impacted riders will visit any one of our more than 450 connected stations across the network and keep riding.

If you believe you have incurred any overage fees or have been unable to use a 24-hour or 3-day pass due to the station unavailability, please contact customer service at email@example.com or 1-877-430-2453 and they will make necessary adjustments.
