CBP Offers to Negotiate with Foreign Customs on Exporters’ Behalf

On June 18, 2015, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced in the Federal Register that it would be accepting “requests for assistance” from exporters who are dealing with valuation or classification issues with foreign customs agencies. 

FDA Releases Draft Guidance on Its Voluntary Importer Program

The FDA is establishing VQIP to enable the expedited review and importation of food for humans or animals from importers who achieve and maintain a high level of control over the safety and security of their supply chains.
The agency is requesting comments on the Draft Guidance by August 19, 2015.

APHIS Approves Beef Imports from Two South American Regions

The agency announced it will amend regulations to allow for the importation of chilled and frozen beef from Northern Argentina and fourteen states in Brazil.

Top 10 Global Ports

There are various factors which can be used to assess how ‘busy’ or ‘large’ a port is. 
This could be a reference to the area covered by the port, the amount of traffic handled or the gross tonnage processed.
