to Expand NAFTA Operations
We are pleased to announce the acquisitions of Laredo Becnel Inc. a Laredo, TX based US Customs Broker and Despachos Hugo S.C. a Nuevo Laredo, Mexico based Customs Brokerage and Logistics Firm.This strategic acquisition will expand our capability throughout the south and into Mexico. The acquisition is expected to close on August 1st, 2015.

Senate Approves Trade Promotion Authority Legislation
The Senate voted on May to approve a bill restoring trade promotion authority for up to six years.
TPA allows the White House to submit legislation implementing new trade agreements that Congress must either approve or reject, but cannot amend, within a specified timeframe.

Expanding U.S. Exports To Be Focus Of President’s Export Council Meeting
The President’s Export Council will hold a meeting June 10 to deliberate on recommendations related to promoting the expansion of U.S. exports. Topics may include North American supply chain competitiveness, innovation, Open Skies agreements, regulatory cooperation, infrastructure, and promoting sustainable building practices and products in developing countries.
The final agenda will be posted at least one week in advance on the PEC website, and the meeting will be broadcast via live webcast. Copies of the meeting minutes will be available within 90 days.

CBP Delays Next Phase of
C-TPAT Portal 2.0, Including Exporter Application
U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced on May the release of phase II of C-TPAT Portal 2.0 has been delayed and that enhancements associated with this release, including the ability to apply for C-TPAT membership as an exporter, will not be available until further notice.
