She came to the church to collect the 96 Christmas care bags we assembled for her clients. Indigenous individuals who have been unsheltered or at risk for homelessness have a temporary place to call home in the three-story buildings on Heather Street just a block from OAC. A big thank you to our OAC family for demonstrating how much we care about our community by preparing Christmas Care Bags for our neighbors at New Beginning House. This small gesture of appreciation and love will deeply impact those who receive them and help make this holiday special for those in need.
Let's close the year together with a spiritual focus as we enter 2022. Starting Monday Dec. 27 till Dec 31, we will share 5 days of prayer to conclude 2021. Follow along using this Bible Plan, Sacred Holidays: A Devotional Leading Up To New Year's. Each weekday at 20:21 (8:21pm) we will meet on ZOOM o reflect and pray.
OAC requires face masks to be worn inside our facility for the added protection of staff, volunteers and vulnerable community members. Join us online if you're feeling sick or have Covid symptoms.  With the new BC restrictions, all other in-person gatherings: small groups, meetings, etc will move to online only until the end of January. Our Cafe service will also be suspended.

Our next Communion experience is planned for January 8th. Let's set our intentions and renew our commitment to Jesus as we remember His sacrifice and commitment to us. The bread and juice will be shared in prepackaged elements. We will not be practicing foot-washing at this time.

Sabbath, January 8 we have kids church. During the sermon, kids 10 and under will be invited to the Chapel for games, crafts, and Bible stories.

A reminder from Debbie, OAC's bookkeeper

Year-end donations must be received before Dec 31 to qualify for 2021 tax receipts. If you give ONLINE, submit by 9pm PST. Please Note: If you moved in 2021, don't forget to update the church office with your new contact details.
OAC's office will close between Dec 26 to Jan 3. In the event of an emergency, a contact number will be provided on our answering machine.

Saturday morning groups

Our Sabbath morning study groups will move online only until further notice. The Young Adult study group is taking a break over the holidays and will resume Jan 8.
