Even in the darkest of times, there is always light. We hope you are keeping sane, safe & healthy. Despite a tumultuous 2020 and fragilities remaining, the Trust are optimistic for the future. The projects below give us an insight into new UK Passivhaus developments on the horizon, as well as those recently completed.
Taking cues from Goldsmith Street, City of York Council are progressing radical placemaking plans with Passivhaus at its heart. A slew of student accommodation schemes are underway, and the UK's first NHS health centre aiming for Passivhaus is progressing at pace - this scheme became watertight in just ten days!
The UK Passivhaus Awards return this year, albeit an online affair. Call for entries will open imminently. At the close of the Trust's tenth anniversary in 2020 we called upon Passivhaus experts to reveal their favourite projects from the past decade; learn more about the first in this series - previous award winner Old Holloway.
And finally, a new year, a new PHT team member. Please join us in warmly welcoming Beth Blomfield. She will be helping us with newsletters and other marketing activities, with next month’s focus on planned activities for 2021, from client procurement clubs to member meetups. We look forward to hearing more from you then!
