Here is a quick update on my pumpkin project. I did make some pumpkin cupcakes. I did it the lazy way tho : )
Box cake mix and pumpkin purée. I don’t bake much but the next time I make baked goods, I will focus on making it from scratch to make it gluten free and also reduce sugar. Mine turned out well but its a bit TOO much sugar. I only ate one or two.
I swear being an aging millennial has REALLY changed my taste buds. It’s a paradigm shift I tell ya!
I kinda wish I had planned a socially distant brunch to serve some to folks. I miss hosting brunches at my home. It reminds me of being in my Great Grandma Jeannie May Allen’s kitchen as a kid or my Aunt Susies house as a kid during the holidays. God Rest their souls.
Food is my love language and these women inspired me so much.
*Yes that’s some Pumpkin Ale! I made these on Saturday Afternoon. Had my cupcake on Sunday with Green Tea! Don’t judge me please lol!
I reached out to my Ayurvedic Clinician to do a Vata Season cleanse. I did my first one with her last year and it was beautiful to be in the energy of purging and purification during this time of year.

Systemic Trauma and Intergenerational Trauma
runs rampant in our communities.
Black Women deserve to have a nervous system that isn't numbed by normative oppression within the United States and abroad. Chronic Stress
and Trauma that is not addressed can lead to adrenal fatigue, cardiovascular illnesses, digestive issues, autoimmune disorders, fibroids and more. It has been proven in countless studies that Yoga can reduce the effects of PTSD.

Back Health for Black Folks
I'm offering a special back care class exclusively for black folks : )
This is a special class to explore reducing the triggers of back pain. Sheltering in place during 2020 has led to more hours indoors and for many of us more time in front of a screen which can lead to poor posture and a slew of musculoskeletal issues in the low + upper back as well as the neck and shoulders. Students will leave each class understanding how to alleviate back pain with hatha yoga, meditation and pranayama. This class is perfect for anyone who needs additional guidance on alleviating pain in between chiropractic/ massage/ acupuncture
and physical therapy appointments. Also this class is suitable for people who want to experience more postural alignment and less muscular stress from washing dishes, gardening, playing with children and grand children etc.
