Inconceivable - A Life's Journey

Filmed over two and a half years, Screentime’s “Inconceivable” follows couples from around New Zealand on their journey towards conception against the biological odds. Staying with the hopeful couples throughout the various tests, weight-loss programmes and delicate surgical procedures, we witness the giddy highs, devastating lows and life-changing moments that hopefully lead towards the birth of a family. The ever-dependable and flexible crews from Rocket Rentals are essential to make this kind of show possible. Without the support of Rocket, shows like this would become logistical nightmares. We are grateful to have them along with us for the creation of such an honest, eye-opening and emotionally rewarding show.

Ultra Slo-Mo - 4.4 trillion frames per second

High Speed Camera

A team of Japanese researchers have developed a high speed camera capable of capturing 4.4 trillion frames per second. Using a technique called ‘sequentially timed all-optical mapping photography’, the camera maps an object's movement over time into a burst stream of photos using it’s time varying spatial profile. At 450x450 pixels, the images are suitable for viewing chemical reactions and the movement of light, allowing it to be applied to a number of industries from ultrasonic therapy to semiconductor manufacturing. Researchers hope to make the device field use ready by 2016. Read More >
