Two new powerful drones

Top quality video is an important feature for drones, with the need to capture as much detail as possible on an aerial journey. The new DJI Inspire 1 comes with a stabilised 4K camera able to record super smooth footage in a 94 degree field of view. With a purchase price tag of $2499, it isn’t for the amateur enthusiast but is certainly top of the line. For a cheaper option, Parrot’s $499 Bebop has a 14MP still/1080p video camera with stabilisation, which can stream footage to your smartphone or tablet. A recent report indicates GoPro will introduce one of its own next year, adding the industry leading imaging of its Hero line to the field.

Kodak camera captures 360 degrees

Kodak has released the PixPro SP360, an action camera capable of shooting a 360 degree perspective in 1080p. Ideal for those who want to capture as much action as possible when on their adventures. There’s plenty of time to capture it too, with a charge able to shoot 160 minutes of video. It has all the features you'd expect from an action cam, with a light 103g body, small size and high durability. For stills it features a 10MP camera with 10fps burst, time-lapse and panorama modes. On top of being a great sports camera, other uses include filming 360º tours of tourist destinations and resorts.

The camera looks like a worthy competitor to the new GoPro Hero4, along with a competitive price of US $350.
