Hi All,

Summer has finally arrived although I am hoping that we will get some sunshine this bank holiday weekend. In the meantime, here's news of what we are up to, and check out what's happening in the tech community this month.

Andrea (Co-founder) shared news on the passing of Jean E. Sammet. She is an American computer scientist who developed the FORMAC programming language and who served as the first female president of ACM. You can read about CACM's In Memoriam of her here.
I was delighted to give a short talk about what I do, the community organisations, and events that I'm involved in at Science Gallery's Gender initiatives in STEM education & communication - are they working? seminar in early May.
We are currently chatting with an organisation who's interested in Coding Grace running adult coding workshops, I can't reveal too much about it yet until all the paperwork is done and we have ideas of what workshops to run. I can say it's in the Dublin region for now. ;-)

In the meantime, keep sending on your requests on what workshops you want us to run, and if you want to run a Coding Grace workshop, and get involved, drop us an email.
Here's some links of interest that I pinned for this month.
Ping me if you want me to include a link to share with folks.
Any other enquiries please email contact@codinggrace.com.

Thanks,

/// Vicky
