ERIN ELLEN KELLY PERFORMS AT PARSE APRIL 15 & 16 - 8PM (DOORS AT 7PM)

Found, Cultivated, Discarded is an evening-length exploration by New York-based dancer and choreographer, Erin Ellen Kelly. Sited within a mixed media installation in the gallery that includes ephemera, photographs, sound, and video, Found, Cultivated, Discarded references natural materials, experiences, and environments, and embodies qualities of unique elements from locales as disparate as New York City; Cassis, France; and Clearlake, CA. Free and open to the public!

At 9pm, following the performance on Saturday, April 16, Kelly will engage in a Q&A with Rotterdam/New Orleans-based curator
Maaike Gouwenberg.
PARSE is an art space and curatorial residency in New Orleans’ Central Business District that serves as a platform for critical dialog about contemporary art. This program hosts three to four visiting curators annually. During extended stays in the city, curators are encouraged to engage in studio visits with local artists, conduct research in the area, and utilize the PARSE facilities to experiment with the boundaries and possibilities of curatorial practice.
