Jesus calls us to be witnesses to God's mercy and love in the world by our words and our actions. In other words, Jesus calls us not only to profess him as Savior but also to follow him as Lord. David shares thoughts about his experience of being raised, nurtured, and loved in the church from the beginning. As he calls it, "a slow motion conversion" which began the day his parents took him to the church's nursery! He emphasizes that love is the nature and heart of God. God IS love; he is for us, not against us. And that's good news!
PS - And how delightful is Daniel Kostandy, as he sings with his mother, Donna?! In our family, we call that a happy-maker!
PPS - A little shout-out to Laura Piazza for her help, generous spirit, and creativity in helping to bring these videos to the congregation while Mike Lhotsky and his family were unwell. Thankfully Mike, Jenny, and their children are much better, which is wonderful.
Each staff member would like to express their gratitude for the donations received for the Staff Gift offering. A total of $1,285 was raised in December and shared proportionally amongst the staff this January. As you know, this has been an extraordinary period of time, requiring a bunch of stick-to-itiveness, empathy, consistency, and creativity in our ministry and work. The staff feels they modeled their behavior on the resilient, optimistic nature of the congregation, and we are grateful for you! Thank you again for your many kindnesses; we appreciate each of them more than you know.
Please know that Trinity's elders, deacons, and staff are praying for you, your loved ones, and your friends. If you should have a care concern or celebration you'd like to share, please email David or the church office.
