In today's sermon, David describes the physical nature of the court of Israel in the Temple; it's fascinating! He then delves succinctly into the scripture, underlining the importance of trust, the glue that holds society together.

We are delighted for each of you to meet our newest members, Joyce and David Gardner. And we thank the regular crew - Mike, Nancy, and Frank - for all they bring to worship, and add in a special thank you to David Brown for his participation.

Trinity's in-person activities remain suspended through Sunday, October 25th. Preschool will continue to be held, with limited enrollment, as Session had previously approved. The Session will next meet on Monday, October 19th.

If you would like your year-to-date giving statement mailed OR emailed to you in early October, please let Virginia in the church office know.

Please know that Trinity's elders, deacons, and staff are praying for you, your loved ones, and your friends as we follow state guidelines to restrict the spread of Covid-19. If you should have a care concern or celebration you'd like to share, please email David or the church office

Please continue to pray for Bobby Nelson's continued improvement as he participates in physical therapy as the result of an earlier fall. Bobby and Betsy also ask for prayers of healing and comfort for Bobby's sister, Ann Wynn, who lives in Conetoe, NC. Ann, who recently lost her husband, has been diagnosed with the coronavirus. We ask that you pray for her full recovery.

Richard Piazza had surgery last week and we're delighted to report is recovering well. Please pray for his comfort and full healing.

Please pray for Linda Breazeale's brother, Robert Lemacks, who was hospitalized recently due to issues with his heart. The doctors performed a balloon procedure, cleaning out 2 of his arteries. In two weeks, they will repeat the procedure on the remaining arteries. We ask that you pray for him, his family, and those who are providing care for him.

We ask that you keep Lillie Pearce's daughter, Karen Loveland, who has been diagnosed with lymphoma, in your prayers. Her doctor will take another biopsy of lymph nodes to determine further treatment. May God’s healing be upon Karen and give her family strength and comfort as they support her during the treatment.

Please keep Missy Farrow's father, Ben Cheney, in your prayers. His skin cancer on his head has returned. In addition, he will have surgery on the vertebrae in his neck and they found a spot on his kidney that needs to be evaluated. Please pray for his full recovery, good spirits, and stamina.

Donna Kostandy's dear friend and former college roommate, Kristin DeSombre, lost her mother after a long battle with ALS. Please pray for comfort for Kristin and her family as they cope with this difficult loss.

We're sorry to share that Cathy Cox, Dale Overcash’s friend and his office administrator, passed away on Monday, September 21st.

As we continue to pay the church's unchanging monthly obligations, we remain sincerely grateful for your giving. Louise Taff, our Receiving Treasurer, is checking the mail frequently each week, making the deposits for the church. If you have questions about your giving, please email Louise.

We recognize that for many people this is an uncertain time, and know that you may not have the income you had before the pandemic. If you find yourself in a difficult position and would like to request financial assistance from the church, please write a confidential email to David.
