Spotlight: Retailers Ramp Up

Excitement For Christmas

Consumers have come to expect great things from retailers during the TV ad breaks, and the launch of Christmas adverts from household names has become something of an event. Whether it involves a snowman in love, a dog on a trampoline, or a beloved children’s TV character, Christmas adverts have the power to surprise, delight and move viewers – and of course, they get us all talking about them.
Marketing Week is keeping tabs on the latest developments on the small screen, with some brands using new themes and others sticking with what their customers know and love. Aldi is bringing back Kevin the Carrot from last year, and the classic Coca-Cola “Holidays are coming” advert is sure to be making an appearance soon. Meanwhile, has taken inspiration from Frozen, and M&S are enlisting the help of a very famous bear. John Lewis, who viewers have come to expect great things from, went with a boy who makes friends with the monster under his bed.
Christmas is a key time of year for many brands, and even the smallest of businesses can take inspiration from the likes of John Lewis, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and others. A bigger marketing push around this time can give you more visibility with your existing customers, and also help you to reach a bigger audience. You might do this by increasing your PPC budget or targeting some new keywords, by using social media and boosting your posts, by sending out mailshots, or by creating great content your audience will love.
However you decide to reach out to your customers in the lead up to Christmas, SilverDisc can help. Get in touch with us for all your online marketing needs.

That’s all for this month! If you have any questions or comments, please email See you next time!

All the best,

The SilverDisc Team
