There are many things for which we are grateful at the end of this year 2020. The children are very well and happy to be homeschooled, they have grown a lot in this time and we have seen how God has taken care of us in all this difficult time. This year in CDMX we have seen many students get involved with us and grow in their knowledge of God from the different campuses where we have movements in the city. Meet Nadia. She studies textile engineering at the National Polytechnic Institute. She became involved in our ministry at her university when we did spiritual surveys with freshman students. Nadia had a lot of questions about Jesus and at first had a hard time integrating into the movement on her campus, but Ceci, (another student) took the time to meet with her to talk and share the gospel with her. It was there that Nadia received Christ as her Lord and Savior! Now Nadia is in a weekly discipleship where she is growing more and more in her relationship with Christ. Recently Nadia shared her personal testimony at our general meeting via Zoom with all the students involved in the city. It was so cool to hear how God has changed her life. She said “Being a Christian has not made my life easy, but I know that I am accompanied, not only by those new friends I have met, but by Christ”. We are very excited about what God is going to do in the lives of students like Nadia this next year.
Also this past Saturday we finished a virtual training that we called MC2 "Multiplication of Missional Communities", for 8 weeks we trained a group of 8 people from a local church in Mexico City and a group of 16 students on how they can win, build, send and start a missional community with people from their relational network (non-believers who are around them). It was a very exciting few weeks to hear how God is using the participants in the lives of their friends, family, coworkers; It was especially exciting to hear the stories of people who received Christ during those weeks as a result of everyone's initiative. This is a photo from our last meeting together.
Thank you very much for being part of what God is doing in the lives of college students in Mexico City, your prayers and investments in the ministry are making a difference in eternity and we are very happy to do it with you. You are a blessing to our family.
Feliz Navidad! With love Luis, Liz, Leah, & Ian Pomares "The Gospel for every student, A movement for every campus, Leaders for every nation."
