As the semester progresses we are pleased to share that new students are integrating not only to campus meetings, but also to discipleship groups to grow in their relationship with God. UNAM, our largest campus, is where the most new students have been getting involved. As part of training new believers to share their faith on campus next week we will start a training called MC2. For 8 weeks we will teach them how they can share their faith with others, how to write their personal testimony, and how to disciple others among other important topics.
On the other hand, when we were coming back from visiting my parents in Veracruz, we went to Puebla to meet with students who were involved with Cru during their time in college when we used to serve there. Many were people we had the opportunity to disciple during our time in Puebla. We hadn't seen them for almost 5 years, and it was very exciting to spend time with them listening to where God has taken them and how God is using them in their jobs and families. We had a great time that afternoon. Our kids didn't remember much of anyone and that was funny as they all played with Leah and Ian when they were younger and even babysat them from time to time.
On the family side, two weeks ago we had the opportunity to visit my parents in the state of Veracruz. We took advantage of the Independence Day holiday break to see them. It was also important for us to go because my father's health has deteriorated a lot in the last 3 months due to his diabetes, and we wanted to spend some quality time with them and have them see the kids. It was a very beautiful time, although difficult to see my father struggling with his health. We thank God that we had the opportunity to go and we hope to return soon.
Thank you very much for all your prayer and financial support, we are very happy to team up with you to continue bringing the message of the gospel to the university students in CDMX. Prayer requests:
- For our MC2 training, may God use it so that the students who take it put into practice what we learn together week by week.
- For more students to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior this semester.
- For my dad's health, may God strengthen him and may the treatment he is undergoing help him get better soon.
