As anyone who was near White Lake on Saturday between 3pm and about 6:45pm can attest, Feb. 2nd was our 2019 White Lake Citizens League Winter Carnival. The WLCL team that put this years’ Carnival together has truly outdone themselves. We had an estimated 500-600 visitors, enjoying the Broomball Tournament, Fowling, Giant Jenga, Bean Bag Toss, Easter Egg Hunt, 3-Legged Races, Sled Rides, Fire pits, Hot Dogs, Chili, Potato Chips, Coffee, Hot Chocolate, and Marshmallows.
If you took any good pictures or videos at the event, please consider sending them to firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can include them in our online album.
It takes a lot of planning (3-4 months’ worth) and work by a wonderful team of our fellow WLCL members to create a truly enjoyable day for our membership. Our team, led by Chuck Neville, included: Joan Cooper, Bill Craig, Angela Elgie, Danielle Ellinor, Laurie Ferrington, Andrew Hamilton, Bob Harrington, Cristi Harrington, Lori Huisman, Denise LaFlamme, Barb Maine, Bill Maine, Teri Moser, Bob Parrett, Debi Parrett, Dave Reid, Barb Richards, Paul Richards, Linda Smallwood, and Sean Whelan.
As darkness fell, our friends from Gen-X Pyrotechnics created a fireworks show that seemed like one continuous Grand Finale. Thanks Jason!
We are eternally grateful to Chris Caldwell and the staff of the White Lake Inn for their unflagging support for all of our activities.
Thanks to Tami Cohorst and ABTEK for the use of their accounting tools.
Special thanks to the Doug Browne Agency of Farm Bureau Insurance for their generous sponsorship of this event.
All comments we received were extremely positive. If you missed this event Saturday, consider marking your calendar for the first week of February, 2020. We’ll be back!!
