Positive Steps
Next patient course starts in March
Our Positive Steps course is aimed at people who have recently been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, but don't need imminent inpatient care. The short course includes sessions about: diet and nutrition; tips on fatigue, stress and sleep management; relaxation, visualisation and mindfulness; a taste of complementary therapy; and a pamper session. The next course starts in March.
If any of the people you support might benefit from our course, please refer them in, and have a look at our referral criteria.
Do something great
Everyone has a bucket list they’d like to complete in their lifetime, and St Oswald’s Life List can help people to tick off these challenges.
With our challenges, you or someone you know, can achieve your Life List and support your local Hospice. You might even have patients you support that could improve their mental wellbeing by taking part.
Challenges range from giving up smoking or losing weight, to taking part in the Great North Run or a Great Wall of China Trek. To find out more email or call  0191 2469123.
