💉 A Miami private school has backtracked on its quarantine policy for vaccinated students. Centner Academy — a Design District school that’s generated national headlines on several occasions for its questionable COVID-19 protocols — reversed course and will no longer require attendees to isolate at home for 30 days following each vaccine dose. The change comes after the Florida Department of Education sent a letter warning that state funds would be withheld from the school if the policy was implemented. (WSVN / Washington Post)

💡 As if living in Miami wasn’t expensive enough: After months of advocacy, demonstrations and testimonials, state regulators have approved Florida Power & Light’s proposed rate increases. According to the Miami Herald, opponents of the move are considering appealing the decision to the Florida Supreme Court. The paper reports that residential customers who use 1,000 kilowatt hours of electricity a month can expect to see an increase of $12.15 on their monthly bills. The change is scheduled to come into effect in January 2022 and will see rates gradually increase over the next four years; as succinctly put by the Herald, “This means your bill will be $15.32 more by 2026 than it is now.” (Miami Herald)

🔊 Ultra Music Festival has announced phase one of its 2022 lineup. The roster includes festival mainstays like Carl Cox and DJ Snake as well as live sets by artists including Pendulum and Madeon; as is Ultra custom, more acts will be announced ahead of its planned March 25-27, 2022 dates. This will be the long-running fest’s first outing since 2019, as the pandemic reached critical mass around the same time the festival was scheduled to take place in March 2020. (Billboard)
