Happy 407 Day, Orlando.

You might be wondering, “What’s 407 Day?” Well, it’s a made-up holiday that celebrates Orlando businesses on April 7, aka 4-07.

The initiative originated from a campaign started by VisitOrlando and Orange County Government in hopes of pushing locals to dine-in or order takeout from their favorite restaurants then post it on their social media channels using the hashtag #407Day.

Since then, local businesses have jumped on board to offer deals, some of which we’ve rounded up down below.

Here’s your friendly reminder that while UberEats, DoorDash, the likes are convenient, they take a chunk of change from the restaurants themselves so hey, maybe call in your order and go pick it up if you’re able.

Oh, and another reminder, Wednesdays are for food (and drink) news around here so hopefully you came to your inbox hungry. Now, let’s get to those 407 specials and news about a pop-up pho night, free burgers for the vaccinated, a monthly cocktail meetup, and who’s celebrating their 15 year anniversary in the City Beautiful.

Want to show your Orlando pride? You can download this image on and post it to your grid. 📸: 407 Day | Wanna see your photo here? Tag either #pulptown or @pulptown on Instagram to be featured as our IG of the Day!

What Orlando is talking about

🍦 Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream and Gideon’s Bakehouse are making a 407 Day baby. It’s one-part Kelly’s limited-edition Alligator Tracks ice cream (orange zest with almonds and dark chocolate chunks) and one-part Gideon’s Stuart’s Cookie (an orange pecan chocolate chip doozy!). And it’s available today only at Kelly’s Corrine Drive, Oviedo and Fern Creek locations from 3 p.m. until sell out. (Orlando Sentinel

  • Related: There’s a new Foxtail location coming to Winter Park and Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream will have a stall inside. The new spot is located near Donut King off Howell Branch Road if you want to forego counting calories and just do the whole trifecta. So far, no opening date has been announced. (The32789)

🍺 Ivanhoe Park Brewing is also jumping in on the fun and offering an “I4 Eyesore slow pour.” The beer aficionados are taking their Parkhopper Pilsner and tapping it on a side pull tap. It’ll be slow to pour, hence the name. (Ivanhoe Park Brewing on Instagram

🍺 Orange Blossom Brewing picked the perfect day to launch its new City Beautiful IPA.  You’ve gotta peep the artwork — it’s beautiful, just as the name suggests. Find it at locations around town using their Beerfinder tool and grab a 407 pint glass from World of Beer, The Hammered Lamb, Cavo’s, Sportstown, and Graffiti Junktion. (Orlando Weekly)
