Dear Hope Giver,

What a week it’s been!

My heart is overwhelmed with the huge efforts being made in the fight against Human Trafficking.  This week alone, our Governor made a huge statement by signing four bills that will combat this issue even more in Louisiana!  Our state continues to take the lead when it comes to protecting victims of Human Trafficking and this is only the beginning.

We as an organization know that it will take all of us when it comes to awareness and its through spreading the word and partnerships that true action is taken. Because of that, we are seeing doors open and action taken!

Speaking of ACTION…I am thrilled to announce that CAGED, the book written by Molly Venzke, which supports the efforts of Trafficking Hope, has been adapted into a screenplay and will be shot this summer in Louisiana and Europe!  It is the first of a trilogy and is set to be released fall of 2015. I am so excited to see what will happen through this film!  We know that stories like this will create even more awareness, bringing HOPE to those victims who have yet to find their voice in the midst of their pain. This film has the potential to give the world a global picture of what is happening and how theses victims can truly be anyone’s daughter or sister.

If you haven’t had a chance to read CAGED, check it out on our website and get your own copy before it’s made into a film!

Thanks so much for your support and for being a HOPE Giver…let’s keep fighting this together!
