Dear Hope Givers,
Happy New Year!
We hope that 2017 brings many blessings and prosperity to you and your family!
This past year was without a doubt a very unique one for so many people with it’s challenges and setbacks along with amazing opportunities, growth, expansion and success. Throughout it all, God has been so faithful to all of us.
As many of you know, our Louisiana services provider, Hope House was catastrophically impacted by the Great Flood in August. Their board decided after months of prayer, discussion, and significant lack of funding there is no feasible way to reopen.
With every new year comes the opportunity to begin again…get a fresh start. I love this as it gives us all a chance to press the “reset” button of our lives. Many of us make resolutions like getting fit, eating healthy, and growing spiritually.
I think of all the ladies we have been able to help get the chance to get a fresh start. We are so grateful to all who have partnered with us to help over 200 ladies find freedom. For nearly 10 years we have been a voice for the voiceless as well as a catalyst for many to get involved and make a difference.
We are very excited to announce our new C.A.R.E.S. victim services provider, The WellHouse located near our corporate office in Alabama. The WellHouse is replacing Hope House as our national Services provider. Our vision and mission are a perfect fit. We are able to continue providing exceptional care to victims of sex trafficking not only in Louisiana but across the nation. Our two organizations have been meeting over the last year on how to partner. We see looking back that God’s hand was on this relationship from the beginning knowing that we would need a loving place for girls to be placed from Hope House.
We are also very excited about our new small group curriculums with the first called, C.A.R.E.S. which is a 10-12 week comprehensive study on the issue of human trafficking and how to get involved. The second curriculum called The Gentlemen’s Club - Redeeming Men is a 12 week group for men focused on the demand side of the problem and how they can become part of the solution.
Our commitment to fight human trafficking has never been stronger as our C.A.R.E.S. Initiative continues to help churches across the nation build Coalitions, provide public Awareness, support law enforcement Rescue, teach prevention through Education and provide victim Services to women.
You can always stay connected to us at traffickinghope.org, The Trafficking Report, Facebook, and Instagram.
We thank you for your continued prayer and financial support. May God bestow His richest blessings over you and your family in 2017!
