Farmers Pasta Night @ REMEL 185 - YOU'RE INVITED to 399 Whorouly Rd

Wednesday 25th May 2016
6.00pm for 6.30pm

'Look over the Farm Gate' - What better way of bringing farmers together than sharing a meal together on farm at REMEL185 in Whorouly.  This is a free evening for farmers, but you must register as numbers are limited to the venues capacity.
For those who haven't been to REMEL - it's an on farm function venue, incorporating the old with the new.

The ‘tobacco shed’ which once stored dried tobacco piled to the ceiling and bales ready for ‘sale day’ has been transformed into a Dining Area. The ‘grading shed’ where many hours were once spent sorting those golden coloured leaves, is now the Kitchen, where again many hours are spent, but now to produce an array of wonderful foods, from homemade pasta to the one of the best  lemon tarts you’ll ever eat.

Farmers Market...

TAFCO has applied for start up funds to commence an accredited Farmers Market in Myrtleford on the fourth Saturday of the month. If successful, the market is likely to commence in September 2016 and will create a circuit of Farmers Markets surrounding Myrtleford on each Saturday morning of the month (Beechworth -Wangaratta - Bright - Myrtleford)

The Victorian Farmers Market Association  (VFMA) membership guidelines can be downloaded here.
Accredited farmers' markets provide an opportunity for our farmers to sell direct and take full credit for their efforts. By shopping at authentic farmers' markets customers are guaranteed access to quality, freshly harvested produce whilst supporting local farmers and directly putting money back into regional Victorian communities.  CLICK HERE to see a short video on what the High Country has to offer

An information session will be held to answer queries and assist witrh the accreditation process.
