Soil Sampling

How to take a pasture soil sample for testing

TAFCO's recent soil health workshop received a lot of positive feedback and also some enquiry as to how to take a soil sample. TAFCO has a soil probe which is leant out to customers wanting to have their soil analysed.
Here is a link to a simple instructional video which is a great step by step guide.   This just happens to be TAFCO's video of the month on our website  www.tafco.com.au

Backpackers Tax-free threshold

The Victorian Farmers Federation are strongly opposed to the Federal Government's change foreign to backpacker tax as it will damage Australian agriculture and tourism.
Due to commence on the 1st July 2016, the change will see foreigners on working holiday visas taxed 32.5cents from the first dollar they earn (scrapping the $18,200 tax-free threshold)

If your business relies on backpackers for seasonal work and would like to show your objection the VFF have drafted a letter template to be sent to Federal MP's which can be downloaded here
