Hi <<First Name>>,
A reminder that our meditation and chat is tomorrow / Thursday -- zoom link and info are included below.
Oh what fun we had last Thursday! After the Wuji meditation, we played with an open-arm stance and movements, and passed our qi ball from one person to the next over the zoom screens (hats off to Rheatha for the suggestion!). Everyone felt each other's energy and were grateful for the whole group. I have a feeling this one will be a recurring exercise from time to time!
Do you find yourself trying to tell people meditation isn't hard to start? That you don't have to "clear your mind"? Did you remember yourself asking those questions and making those assumptions? There are many beginner courses on meditation nowadays, my recent find is Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield's free 40-day online course Mindfulness Daily (there's also a version of this course called Mindfulness Daily at Work). Brach and Kornfield are both pioneers in bring Buddhist meditation techniques to the West and into psychotherapy and each has decades of experience teaching meditation and training meditation teachers. This free 40-day course is self-paced, and introduces mindfulness techniques step-by-step. It's a great way to easily get 10 minutes of meditation in everyday.
Warmly yours,
Yan
