Hi <<First Name>>,
A while back we touched upon the topic of interoception (inward senses) vs exteroception (senses for the outer world through sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch), and how interoception is what helps unlock our inner wisdom. Here's a recently article on the same topic: Interoception: the hidden sense that shapes wellbeing. Not really groundbreaking (and truthfully most of these research findings pale in comparison to what Chinese Medicine and similar ancient healing and spiritual traditions have been tell us all along), but it adds fodder to the importance of cultivating inner awareness. Whatever internal practice you've been doing - meditation, qigong, martial art, acting, art... - keep it up! :)
A reminder that our Thursday Meditation & Chat is back on, at our usual time -- see details below.
Also a reminder that there are just a few days left to sign up for my new Cloud Hands course - enrollment closes at the end of day on Sunday August 22. It's a great intro for beginners, and if you know anyone who's been thinking about taking Tai Chi, feel free to send them the link along with the discount code TMC to save 20%. Also, for this time only and members of this list only, one enrollment can be shared among household members - as long as you share the screen (that is, no multiple logins to live zoom session).
