Dear <<First Name>>,

NMOS Workshop #8 2018 group

Another productive NMOS workshop
The 8th in our series of developer workshops was held recently, kindly hosted by Riedel in Wuppertal, and continued the great collaboration that happens at these events. Much progress has been made over the last few months so here is a high-level update for the project.

IS-04 – Discovery & Registration – Published
IS-05 – Connection Management – Published
IS-06 – Network Control – just Published
IS-07 – Event & Tally – just started as new Work in Progress
Other NMOS working groups have focussed on Interoperable Security, High Level Grouping, Scalability and Identity & Timing. A new group is now being set up to consider Audio Track Mapping.

During the workshop there were practical demonstrations of Interoperable Security and the Event & Tally API in action.

The AMWA workshops are open to any member who is trying to implement an AMWA specification, whether they wish to test code, try a proof of concept or refine an existing product. We're delighted that, although no results are published, interacting with other members in the closed environment significantly helps developers to improve both implementations and product interoperability.

Find the latest versions of the published specifications and references to many of the workgroups that are active on NMOS on GitHub.

Please stop by at our stand, Hall 6.A07, for more information on any of our projects or how to become involved.

You can also hear how "dematerialised facilities", as outlined in the JT-NM Roadmap, can be delivered in practice, using the Agile Media Blueprint. This project, managed on behalf of the JT-NM, will be launched later this year.

The IP Showcase for 2018
Located again at IBC in Room E106/107, the IP Showcase will include:-
"IP in Action" real-life case studies that emphasize key achievements in support of IP standards and specifications.
Leading supplier displays and demonstrations of equipment that showcase the benefits IP can bring to an operation.
The IP Showcase Theatre, where you'll learn about the technical and practical aspects of implementing IP based systems.

Further information is here.

We hope to see you at the show!
All the Best,
