This year the European Permaculture Convergence is coming to the beautiful mountains of County Wicklow just an hour from Dublin in the Republic of Ireland, where we will be extending a thousand welcomes to Permaculturalists from right across Europe.
The 5 day event will take place from 8th to 13th August 2018 at Knockree Hostel, County Wicklow and will be a dynamic mixture of pre-scheduled speakers, workshops and open space on a diverse range of topics, though the theme for the week is 'New Partners for Permaculture: Reaching Beyond Our Edges' so this will also be very much a community building and networking event.
In addition to the main event in Wicklow it is also intended that there will be 'Fringe' events taking place not only in Ireland but across Europe this summer, including Permaculture courses, talks, open days, networking and permablitz's.
Attendance tickets to the EUPC cost €100 for the 5 days, or €25 for a day pass and there are a range of accomodation options onsite and nearby.
There's much more info about the programme, tickets, fringe events and volunteering on our website at www.eupc2018.ie
Join us and deepen your understanding of and connection to Permaculture in the Nordics. There will be many workshops related to our three different themes - Land and Nature Stewardship, Health and Wellbeing, and Land Tenure and Community Governance. Many of the workshops will include design activities in which participation from everyone is encouraged. There will be workshops offered in both English and in Norwegian.
Latvian Permaculture Association have managed to maintain the tradition of annual permaculture festivals and initiated the preparations for the anniversary 5th Permaculture festival on August 10-12th, 2018 in Latvian Open Permaculture farm. Latvian Permaculture Association: Diploma in Applied Permaculture Design
By Elgars Felcis
Latvian Permaculture Association with its partners is happy to announce that in 2018 we want to make the next step in spreading permaculture teaching and practice in Latvia and its surrounding region through training the first group of permaculture trainers in 2018-2020. This can enable even more widespread permaculture training through much lower training costs, region-specific solutions and reduction of language barriers. Application is open to all PDC holders in Baltics and beyond.
The first training sessions are planned for two weeks in summer 2018 - June 25-29th and August 13-17th on "Lejas Varicēni" permaculture farm and Latvian Open Permaculture farm "Zadiņi", following on the back of the 5th Latvian Permaculture festival on August 10-12th, 2018.
