Global Project Feature: Global Youth Debates
Global Youth Debates joins students from diverse cultures for authentic debating. We currently have school teams from Europe, North America and Australasia debating this topic:

"For global peace and security censorship of the Internet does more harm than good"

But we need help! We need to 'teachersource' the judging of student online debates. We have training material and information available and encourage you to consider stepping up to do this. You can sign on for the rest of the semester of for one or more debates.

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn how we are implementing asynchronous online debating between students across the world and flattening the learning so that the outside community can be a part of this.

Learning Collaboratives: Connect with China

Coming to you in September 2015 from Flat Connections

Learning Collaboratives are a NEW way to connect and learn globally online. They redesign the learning paradigm to encourage STUDENTS to take the lead in connecting and collaborating and in doing so co-create solutions to global problems.

Connect with China - Pilot starts September 2015
This is
a learning environment where ways to connect between China and other places are explored to increase global collaboration for learning.  This collaborative aims to bridge the global gap and engage with the world in authentic ways to support effective 21st century learning that includes educational institutions and independent learners.
The Connect with China Collaborative is designed as an interdisciplinary cross-curricular learning experience that caters to students who want to learn Chinese as a language. It also includes wider experiences for cultural and social learning within a supported technology-infused environment.
