Winter 2021

Following several rounds of deliberation, we are pleased to announce the five winners of the inaugural Falcon Awards for Disease Elimination! The winners were presented by Dr Maha Barakat at the official World Health Organization (WHO) event commemorating Universal Health Coverage on 12 December at the Expo2020 in Dubai.

Each of the winners will receive up to US$200,000 and work in partnership with GLIDE over the next year to advance their disease elimination targets.

We thank all who submitted for their time and effort, and invite you to stay engaged as we continue our journey to help achieve disease elimination. Follow us on social media this week as we meet each of the five winners.
