Barclay Press and its various imprints released thirteen titles in 2018. That’s nearly three times as many titles as in 2017 and more than six times as many as in 2016. But in the larger scheme of things, Barclay Press remains a small press (which, for the record, includes any U.S. publishing house with less than $50 million in sales). Small presses fill the gaps that larger publishers neglect, and we focus on work that might not be considered profitable enough to make it at a better-known house. That’s why you matter to me. You’ve entrusted your work to our care, and that’s a big deal. Thank you! – Eric
Quakers Uniting in Publications (QUIP), begun informally in 1983 by a small group of Quaker publishers and booksellers, is now an international network of over 50 Friends organizations and individuals concerned with the ministry of the written word. QUIP’s annual conference, scheduled for March 28-31, will be in Oregon this year, and the theme is Building Bridges: Quaker Writers and Publishers Working Together to Bring Us Together.
In Quaker Christianity, a category I watch pretty carefully on Amazon, several of our titles ranked in the top 100 sellers this week:
