Inviting Community in Christ

2020 is off to an unexpected start to say the least. Now more than ever, we need to add some normalcy to our lives. That's why we're happy to continue our tradition of looking back at the month's achievements in ministry. Now, here's what's been happening in ministry at Grace the last month.

Feast Before the Fast Was a Huge Hit!

Did you give up something for Lent? If so, you were probably looking forward to one last feast before the fast. For the second straight year, we celebrated the coming season of Lent with a pancake feast. Just as she did last year, Jackie Graser was kind enough to organize the event and the party was a huge hit. Over 130 people attended and filled their bellies with delicious breakfast. Even more exciting was that 24 members of the Grace community stepped up to help organize the event. Thanks to everyone who helped make this year's feast a huge success!

The World is God's Classroom

On Sunday, March 1, our 2nd-5th graders had a very different Sunday School time. They experienced God's classroom... outdoors! Rich Hines and Ed Morrow invited the kids and their families out to Springboro Farms where not only did they get to learn about God's creation, but they gotto experience God's creation. After being led in a devotion by Reverend Morrow, they experienced how God uses maple trees to make sap which Rich then utilizes to make syrup. And, yes, the kids certainly enjoyed their syrup with some pancakes! Rich and Ed are looking forward to future experiences in God's classroom as they allow the kids to fish, make apple cider, among other activities!

A Fantastic Night of Italian Cuisine

Each year, the youth and their families host an Italian Dinner as a fundraiser for their events, especially for the triennial National Youth Gathering. They prepare the meals (especially our executive chef extraordinaire, Caleb Ply), dress to the nines, and serve a delicious meal. All the kids do a great job with this and really enjoy serving you all with a smile! Thank you to all who came out for a great night and for your generosity and support as we raised just shy of $2,500. Also, get ready for our next fundraiser meal: our Easter Breakfast in just about a month from now!
