New Job
Artists First Studio

I'm excited to announce after years of being involved with this amazing place, I'm officially joining the team as an Arts Facilitator. I also run the blog, help curate and organize art shows and am working on co-launching a new program that uses creativity to develop self advocacy, empowerment, and direction for young adults with developmental disabilities transitioning out of the school systems.
New Studio
Maplewood Studio

I'm moving my art to the heart of Maplewood ( across from Shnucks) where I'll also have an office for one - on - one coaching and space for workshops and classes!
This is a dream situation.

Lookout for future events and happenings and ways to collaborate and get involved :)

New Work
ADDS for Your Consciousness is series of flyers designed to empower the viewer. In our modern world we’re continuously bombarded by information that seeks to draw upon  disempowerment, separation, and fear. I hope that this project will serve as a reminder for personal freedom. What kind of future do we wish to live in? A future of peace, equality, and belief in human kindness is near.

Enough Is here: Let go of everything. Try. Let go of nothing. Try. Not to try. Try. Enough is here.

A reminder that we’ve already arrived at the right place. We live in a world constantly striving to be better, to be more productive, to be more helpful. What if we could remember our only real job is to breath ?

Mall of Plants: A theoretical investigation into what might happen if we turned an abandoned mall into an indoor greenhouse. How could the people and plants come together to share a space to work, to move, and socialize together.

*Monthly memberships include freshly picked fruits.

Take Back Time: Time is yours. Time is malleable. Time is ours. Time is mine. Take back time.

A reminder that we own our lives. We aren’t owned by our boss, our family, or this system of power. What if we created a society where we could all work by choice? Could we begin to work for the earth ? How could you begin to take back your time?

This is just the beginning of an ongoing meditation on the fragmented nature of breaking apart our moments into smaller and smaller bits of more scheduled occurrences.

Writing for Art Saint Louis

Reasons To Create: "Art as a “personal intimate game, played with oneself, in an evolving search for what you find personally meaningful."

After a career in architecture, these paintings portray an antidote to precision. Doug’s motivation to create stems from his openness to explore. As architecture encouraged “tightly wound," analytical and linear measures of design, Doug pushed back with the deployment of bright colors that flow between the lines. Working with art as a cartoon helps his paintings remain light hearted and inviting to all. The most important thing we should all walk away with is a good inner chuckle."
