Story Time

Hey friends, this has been quite a month here. There have been lot’s of art break throughs and breakdowns. I’ll be taking a break from painting to explore new forms of creation and work on more effectively cycling through thoughts.

Chasing Chaos marks the end of my largest ongoing exploration, the emergence of natural pattern ( read more on the Chasing Chaos statement).

I’ve had to re-configure my whole art focus. Thankfully a new direction has unveiled itself quite quickly and I didn't have to spend too much time in depths of an art block. I still have to mourn a bit for the loss of playing with paint and the straying away from purely visual art. I love color and light and the joy that happens when harmony is created between the opposing forcing of hue, however I am getting quite bored and am ready for the next adventure!

And to the real point now -This new path I'm uncovering is based in the art of story telling, symbols, and the essence of  communicating messages across time. There’s crossover into archeology, religious studies, and computer science as they relate to the history and formation of communication technologies. The transmission of information across time through language has defined the society we’ve found ourselves in today. The internet as it develops into an entity in and of itself is in the midst of transforming how we connect, store, and transmit data both as individuals and as a collective. And what I wish to ask is what does this all mean to the human spirit? Why and how have passed data transmissions shaped the identity of our species and why and how will we choose to transmit data into the future? We are in the midst of an exponentially large revolution in the art of communication. Keep your feet planted folks, because we’re all about to be in for a bumpy ride.

Wishing you a future filled with inner peace to share with family, close connections and your chosen communities. Within a culture of noise and never ending attempts at advancements to the inevitable no where, we must try to remember the all is often right here and right now.

peace, presence, paint
