“Without leaps of imagination or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning.”
―Gloria Steinem
The quote above slices right into one of the fundamental elements of DESIGN THINKING that imagination, creativity, and open-mindedness can help us dream up awesome solutions for our users here at Weill Cornell.

So, with that said, we'd like to kick off our weekly DESIGN THINKING engagement series with:

THE DESIGN THINKING CHALLENGE

Here are the rules (which, as you already know, are meant to be broken):
  1. Think of a time ― let's say over the past year or two ― when creativity and Design Thinking have helped you in your work. (If you get stuck, you can always refer to the Design Thinking Wiki, or your Flashcards, which you can also find on the Wiki.)
  2. Your story can be a few sentences or a novella ― no restrictions there.
  3. Email design_thinking@med.cornell.edu with your story by end of day Thursday ― you may just find yourself featured on the Design Thinking Wiki!
Best of luck! And don't forget, it's okay to have fun with this.  :)
