It’s OVATION Awards season!

For more than 30 years, IABC/Toronto’s prestigious OVATION Awards Program has recognized and celebrated communication excellence in the GTA. The program is open to members and non-members, from juniors to independents to veterans and all those in between. With 17 categories to choose from, there is one that matches the exceptional work you’re doing.

What outstanding work will you submit this year? Review the Call for Entries and put your thinking cap on.

Important dates:
  • IABC/Toronto will start accepting entries on January 9, 2017.
  • OVATION early-bird deadline is February 2, 2017.
  • OVATION on-time entry deadline is February 16, 2017.
  • OVATION last-minute entry deadline is March 2, 2017.
  • 2017 OVATION Awards Gala will be held on May 31, 2017 at the Arcadian Court.

We'll be meeting at the Duke of York pub, at 39 Prince Arthur Ave. near the St. George subway station. Drinks and snacks are on your own tab, but please register today so we can tell the pub how many people to expect.

Has your IABC membership lapsed? On the fence about whether a membership is worth it in the age of Google? Starting January 1, we’re waiving the $40 application fee* for all lapsed members and fence-sitters and we want you to give us a chance.

Holiday office hours

The IABC/Toronto office will be closed for the holiday season as of 5 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2016, re-opening at 9 a.m. on Monday, January 2, 2017. Any messages received during this time will be answered when the office re-opens. Please note that some Board members will not have access to their IABC/Toronto email during this period.
Existing CareerLine listings will still be active during the period the office is closed and can be viewed 24/7. However, any new job positions submitted during the holiday closure will be posted when the office re-opens on January 2, 2017.
