Early bird ends December 1. IABC/Toronto's Holiday Bash

Come out and be merry with fellow communicators at IABC/Toronto’s holiday networking event. Register by December 1 to start celebrating with our early-bird rate.
 
In the spirit of the season, we’ll be collecting non-perishable items for the Daily Bread Food Bank.

Registration fees (include admission, hors d’oeuvres, one complimentary drink, networking)
  • $25 plus HST: IABC member rate on or before December 1 ($28.25 with HST). $30 plus HST after December 1.
  • $20 plus HST: IABC/Toronto Student and Transitional members on or before December 1 ($22.60 with HST). $25 plus HST after December 1.
  • $35 plus HST: Non-member rate on or before December 1 ($33.90 with HST). $40 plus HST after December 1.

Attention members and non-members, we want your help to find the next IABC/Toronto Communicator of the Year. It’s easy to nominate someone – no long forms to complete – and all nominations are kept confidential. So go for it. Tell us who you think it should be.

This annual award is presented to a leader who has demonstrated strategic communication excellence. Last year’s winner was Stefan Sjöstrand, President of IKEA Canada who was recognized for his commitment to embracing a culture of open and transparent communication with IKEA's co-workers, customers, stakeholders and media. Other past winners include a university professor, a public servant, the CEO of a hospital, a mayor and more.

Thursday, December 15, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Duke of York pub, 39 Prince Arthur Avenue (near St. George subway), Toronto
 
Get your holiday spirit on and join IABC/Toronto’s Professional Independent Communicators (PIC) for our holiday social. PIC socials allow you to meet new people or get to know others better, bounce ideas off your fellow indies, practise your elevator speech or get answers to questions.
 
We'll be meeting at the Duke of York pub, at 39 Prince Arthur Avenue, just steps from the St. George subway station.
 
While it's pay-your-own-way for drinks and snacks, the intriguing chats and friendly atmosphere are on the house. Please register on or before December 14 so we can provide an estimate of numbers to the venue.
