RCMP/SCMP certification exams on November 24 – scholarships available


Sunday, November 24, 10 a.m., Courtyard Marriott Toronto, 675 Yonge St., Toronto

The CMP/SCMP certification exams are being hosted in Toronto this month in partnership with SummersDirect. If your application has been approved*, mark your calendar for November 24.

*Applications must be submitted to the Global Communication Certification Council (GCCC) at least 30 days in advance of the exam date (October 26, 2019).

Have you been thinking about getting your certification in 2020 but the cost is preventing you from moving forward? You can now apply for a Gift of Excellence Grant which provides US$600 to an IABC member who qualifies for funding. Applications are due December 10, 2019.

Attention young or transitioning communicators looking for sound industry advice, guidance and perspective: IABC / Toronto’s 2019-20 Mentorship Program is looking for mentees. Simply fill out a mentee application form and wait to be paired with your ideal mentor match based on considerations like goals, industry and location.

Submit your content for IABC/Toronto’s Communicator!

Are you an internal communications aficionado or looking to become one? Consider writing an article about your expertise and experience in the winter issue of Communicator!
 
IABC/Toronto’s official e-magazine, Communicator features information and insights on topics relevant to communicators in the GTA. Written exclusively by IABC/Toronto members, Communicator is now open to the public.
 
The theme for our upcoming issue is “Internal communications.” We are looking for high-quality content that will provoke the interest and curiosity of IABC/Toronto members.
 
The content submission deadline is December 13, 2019.  All submissions are subject to editing by IABC/Toronto and must:
  • Be written in blog format
  • Be 500 to 1,000 words in length
  • Abide by IABC/Toronto’s style guide (to be provided by the Editor in Chief)
Please note that only IABC/Toronto members can contribute to Communicator.
