Katie Boland, Account Manager, APEX Public Relations and ruckus digitalWith more than 10 years of experience working in corporate, agency and start-up environments, Katie has been a member of IABC throughout her career starting with the Ottawa chapter as she attended Algonquin College’s PR program. Katie is currently a volunteer for the 2019 IABC/Toronto OVATION Awards as well as an international and local awards judge.

“I love attending IABC’s professional development and networking events to meet local communications professionals. These events help me connect with a range of communicators, from new PR students to established communicators.”

Katie loves building and engaging with social communities and leads the social strategy for clients such as RSA Insurance and Husqvarna Canada. She has experience with managing pages for Walmart Canada, Polysporin, Band-Aid Canada, Seventh Generation and We Care Home Health Services. Katie also has a strong traditional PR background from her experience working at Rogers Communications and working with clients including UPS Canada, ASUS, Joey Restaurants, Juniper Networks and evian Canada.
