Support our councillors in the local elections.

NHA Party Councillors Mark Jarnell and Harry Hayfield will be standing for election on Thursday 4 May. Mark is currently a town councillor, but if his new election bid is successful he will become part of Lancashire County Council. Harry is standing for Ceredigion County Council. These are important positions for them as individuals and for the party.  We have faith that they will fight for the values of public service.

The NHA endorses Green Party candidates Netti Pearson, Gerhard Lohmann-Bond and Nuala Young because of their dedication to campaigning for the NHS in their local areas. Netti is part of the North Devon 'red line' campaign and, like Mark, is currently a town councillor. She is standing for Devon County Council. Gerhard was part of Sarah Stock's campaign team in the Sleaford and North Hykeham by-election. He is currently a parish councillor like Harry and is standing for Lincolnshire County Council. Nuala Young is standing in the Oxford County Council elections for St Clements.

We believe that there is scope for working with individual candidates from other parties whose views on public service correspond with ours. We are working to develop reciprocal arrangements for the future. This is not an endorsement of any other party as a whole but an opportunity to increase the chances of building an opposition to the Tories and the pro-privatisation elements of the Liberal Democrat and Labour Parties.

What you can do

On the stump ...
Mark and Harry will be campaigning in their local areas of Ceredigion and Chorley. If you live near-by or you have friends who do and would like to help with the campaigns then please email us at and we'll put you in touch with Mark and Harry. We'll also be sending out local campaign time tables in the weeks running up to the election.
Help us with funds...
As you know we try to keep costs to a minimum which is why we rely so much on volunteers but elections cost money as we need leaflets and other promotional items for our candidates. Please support Mark and Harry with a donation for their campaigns - we promise to put every penny to good use. You can donate to the party using the link below.

Be a Party Ambassador

It is important to recognise that in a small party our members are the people who will stand as candidates - that's you! Large parties are able to develop potential candidates over time, we rely on your passion and commitment to get us off to a start. Or you might know independent candidates in your area who share our party's values and who might consider, as Mark and Harry did, changing to our party colours. Of course they can't do that if they don't know about us. Will you be a party ambassador and see what likely candidates there are in your area? If you are interested please dive in and keep us posted on your progress just send us an email at so we can keep you posted on our election activities.
