Key issues in anaesthesia for the Morbidly Obese Patient
Wednesday , May 6th,  2015

Spring has well and truly sprung in the UK and the SOBA committee have been busy preparing for the next SOBA Key Issues Day on May 6th at the Royal College of Physicians in London.

The Key Issues meeting covers the whole of the RCOA revalidation matrix for obesity anaesthesia and is approved for 5 CPD points. Perennial issues in anaesthesia are up for discussion; get the facts and the fiction, up to date knowledge and help us destroy the myths around obesity anaesthesia.
Notebooks are so last year !
Thanks to a great partnership between SOBA and e-materials.com we are now able to offer all conference delegates a fully interactive experience. Using the latest software participants can interact with the panel and of course really importantly, download .pdf's of the content for the next six months.
Another sellout? This event has always been hugely popular with delegates and with over 75% of places already gone we are looking forward to another great meeting. If you would like to join us do book soon!
Book here!
Become a local educator! The SOBA key issues day will allow you to go back to your organisation with the knowledge, strategies and confidence to become the obesity lead for your department and spread this message throughout the team.

ISPCOP Sessions at IARS 2015 Annual Meeting and International Science Symposium

Honolulu ,March 21-24, 2015

PBLD’S

“We held a PBLD endorsed by ISPCOP at the recent IARS annual meeting. We presented and discussed a super obese patient undergoing robotic hysterectomy.
The PBLD was sold out and well received. We had an international audience that was actively involved in the evolvement of the case.
Given the success of our PBLD we are highly motivated to continue a PBLD on morbid obesity in future international and national meetings.”
