Colouring in Challenge 
Children aged from 4 - 12 years are invited to participate in the Mayor’s Magical Colouring Challenge this school holidays. Artworks will go on display at Castle Hill Library when it re-opens on  April 20.
Sydney Writers Festival 
Sydney Writers Festival is back with a series of virtual webinars. The all Aussie line-up includes author of Tiddas, Anita Heiss, author of The Secret River, Kate Grenville and author of The Chase, Candice Fox.
Youth Week
Youth Week returns to The Hills this April with an exciting list of events. From April 16 to April 24, Hills youth can participate in a range of FREE events, including skate workshops and a special movie screening.
NSW Seniors Festival
NSW Seniors Festival is fast approaching! From April 13 to April 24, Hills residents over the age of 60 can participate in a range of FREE events, including guided bushwalks and a special movie screening.
Castle Hill Cemetery upgrade
The Hills Shire Council has completed its upgrade of Castle Hill Cemetery. The $3.78 million makeover included enhancing the amenity of the site, as well as increasing the burial capacity.
Balmoral Road Reserve
Work continues at Balmoral Road Reserve, with bulk earthworks almost complete and preliminary services, such as power, underway. A footpath, bordering the Reserve, is now open.
 Norwest Innovation Precinct
Have your say on the Draft Section 7.12 Contributions Plan for the Norwest Innovation Precinct to support future redevelopment. Submissions will close on Wednesday, May 12.  
Circa Commercial Precinct
Council has resolved to publicly exhibit a planning proposal and related plans and agreements in regards to the Circa Commercial Precinct. Submissions will close on Wednesday, May 12.

Volunteers are needed at Bidjiwong Community Nursery. Volunteering slots are available Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and participants will receive training in all aspects of nursery work.
