Project STEP 2014-2015...

This has been an especially exciting year here at Project STEP. Receiving a NAHYP Award was one of the biggest honors in our program's history, and with it came exciting new opportunities! Our students performed in events ranging from an Apple Store Cadenza demonstration to Governor Baker's Inauguration. We made new friends such as cellist Johannes Moser and expanded our community by hosting a Friendraiser at Scholars Bistro in Downtown Crossing. We also increased our exposure by being featured in over sixty-five media placements, the latest of which is an article in The Christian Science Monitor!

As we reflect upon this whirlwind of a year, we could not be more grateful for these opportunities and for everyone who supported us along the way. Our students have wrapped up their final Project STEP performances and are on their way to summer music camps such as BUTI, Point Counter Point, and Apple Hill. We can't wait to see them in September and hear all about what they learned over the summer!
Congratulations, Taylor!

Project STEP student Taylor Payne performed her Senior Recital on Sunday, May 31st. She prepared a wonderful recital including solo pieces, chamber music, and a piece written specifically for her by a Tufts composition student. Taylor will attend Ithaca College in the fall, where she will continue her studies as a music major. We are extremely proud of Taylor's accomplishments, and excited to maintain Project STEP's record of sending 100% of our graduates to college or conservatory.
Spring Recital & Parents' Benefit

On Sunday, May 17th, we held our annual Spring Recital and Parents' Benefit. This end-of-year recital, sponsored by the Gregory E. Bulger Foundation, is the culmination of a year of work, progress, and achievement. Thank you to all of our students and parents for putting together such a beautiful recital. Everyone did a wonderful job and we are very proud! View more photos of the event here.
